With the firepower Talk ’N Text and B-Meg have, PBA finals can go either way

Chot Reyes and Tim Cone are among the brilliant coaches in the league. Donnel Harvey and Denzel Bowles have proven they worthy being called reinforcements.

Talk ’N Text and B-Meg are two of the few teams that have more than enough local firepower.

With the arsenals that the two protagonists have, the best-of-seven championship round of the 37th PBA Commissioner’s Cup is definitely anybody’s game.

No one can really say how this series would play out as the defending champions Texters and the Llamados start their duel at 7 p.m. today at the Araneta Coliseum.

“Both teams have great talents, players on top of their game. There’s no clear favorite between them. It’s really exciting and a big treat to the PBA fans,” said PBA Commissioner Chito Salud in a report posted at pba.ph.

Talk ’N Text is looking for its fifth title in the last six conferences. The teams is on its fifth straight finals appearance and it remains to be seen if they have enough gas left in the tank following several playoff battles they have gone through.

“I agree that’s gonna take a toll on our bodies. That’s a fact that we have to deal with. We also have to deal with the other side – their being the toughest, tallest and deepest team in the league right now. We need to find a way to beat them,” said Reyes.

But for Cone, being in the finals for so many times has toughened up the Texters and made them a more confident team.

“Yes, they’ve been playing a lot of games. But I feel on my experience (with Alaska), the experience you gather doing it over and over again, winning in every conceivable way, makes your confidence extremely high,” said Cone.

One thing that may favor the Llamados is they are being considered the hungrier teamas they are looking to end a two-year-title drought.
