Typhoon Egay death toll climbs to 26

MANILA, Philippines — The Typhoon Egay death toll has climbed to 26 after one additional death was reported, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s (NDRRMC) said on Tuesday afternoon.

Of the said deaths, the NDRRMC said 24 are still for validation while two were confirmed.

According to the NDRRMC, there were also 52 injuries while 13 people remain missing.

The latest bulletin of the agency also said that the estimated agricultural damage is now pegged at P1.9 billion while damage to infrastructure, so far, is P3.5 billion.

The agency also said that a total of 2,476,907 individuals in 13 regions were affected by the typhoon.
