Fetus found in Ormoc coastal village
ORMOC CITY — A severely mutilated fetus was found by a local fisherman near a fish cage in the coastal village of Naungan here on Saturday, July 29.
The gender of the fetus, whose body was already decomposing, could no longer be determined.
Staff Sergeant Jemelito Ignacio, case investigator, said that at about 5:35 p.m. on Saturday, the duty desk officer on duty of Police Station 4 received a phone call about a human fetus that was already in a state of decomposition.
They immediately proceeded to the area to verify the report. Upon arrival, they found the decomposing fetus on the shore.
Ignacio said the decomposing human fetus was found by Emmar Dajab, 46, a fisherman.
According to Dajab, he just came from his fish cage when he saw the decomposing fetus upon docking his boat at the Naungan shoreline around 5 p.m.
