BOC seizes 51 luxury vehicles
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated 51 high-end vehicles whose owners allegedly failed to submit evidence of ownership and payment of correct duties and taxes for importation.
The 51 luxury vehicles were among the 197 imported and locally sourced vehicles that were inspected during the raid at the Pasig City showroom on July 4.
The BOC said it served warrants of seizure and detention against owners of the 51 vehicles on Wednesday.
But vehicle owners will be given the chance to present proof of duty and tax payments, voluntarily agree to pay the arrears or offer settlements. —TINA G. SANTOS
