Cebu Queen City United eyes redemption in UFL today

THE Cebu Queen City United Football Club (CQCU FC) looks to bounce back from a loss last week when it faces the Manila All-Japan FC today at the Alabang Country Club in the second round of the United Football League Second Division Tournament.

Head coach Mario Ceniza said that despite the 0-4 loss to Pachanga last week, his boys are in high spirits.

“They have a good mind set and they will do better,” Ceniza said of his team.

The first time that the two teams met, CQCU FC inflicted a 5-2 victory against the Manila All-Japan FC.

“I hope it will be the same. However, we will not be taking our chances because Manila All-Japan may also be fired up.”

Ceniza said their aim now is to finish second in the division.

“Currently we are at third. So we’re aiming for the second. If that is not possible, then we will maintain our third place standing.”

The team currently holds an 8-1-3 (win-draw-loss) record equivalent to 25 points.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
