The local government unit explained that road closures for the Sona may affect students of “summer classes” at some Quezon City schools even as other schools just went on a “summer break.”
Jeepney groups, meanwhile, are also planning to mount a transport strike on Monday, in time for the Sona. They are accusing the national government of giving preferential treatment to corporations and local governments regarding routes rather than supporting transport cooperatives.
