eReport, e-LGU apps launched to curb crime, give quick services
MANILA, Philippines — The government launched on Monday its e-Report (eReport) and e-Local Government Unit (eLGU) apps that would allow anyone to, respectively, seek help from law enforcement agencies and get quick access to government services.
The system is a one-stop shop app for government agencies that Marcos ordered the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to enable in May.
“I am optimistic that this system will be used to help curb criminality, lawlessness, and ensure immediate responses to various incidents across the country. Thereby making our communities safer and more secure for everyone,” Marcos said of the eReport on Monday during its launching in Malacañang.
The project — a partnership between the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Anti-Red Tape Authority — is designed to remove unnecessary layers of bureaucracy to ease local government transactions.
“With the e-LGU system, our people can avail a wide range of local government services, including business permits and licensing, local tax processing, local civil registration, real property tax, barangay clearance, and information dissemination,” Marcos said.

There are more profound changes that we can expect should we choose to apply technology in many aspects of our lives. I truly believe that digitalization will be a hallmark of our progress as we move to the future,” Marcos said.
