MANILA, Philippines — Improved weather is expected in most parts of the country on Tuesday despite the effects of the southwest monsoon and the presence of a low pressure area (LPA) east of Mindanao, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

According to Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio, the LPA entered the Philippine area of responsibility and was spotted 925 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao.

However, it currently has no direct effect on the country.

(Tomorrow, the southwest monsoon will still have an effect on Luzon and Visayas, so cloudy skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms are still expected in Bataan Bay and Zambales.)

(In the rest of Luzon including Metro Manila, we expect the weather to be good, sunny, mostly cloudy skies but there is still a chance of isolated rain.)
