DOH logs 2,510 COVID-19 infections from July 3 to 9

A total of 2,510 COVID-19 infections were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) from July 3 to July 9, which is slightly lower than the 2,747 cases recorded the previous week.

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 2,510 COVID-19 infections were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) from July 3 to July 9, which is slightly lower than the 2,747 cases recorded the previous week.

According to the DOH’s latest data, the 2,510 infections translated to a daily average of 359, nine percent lower than the 3922 from June 26 to July 2.

Forty-four of the infections or 1.76 percent of the total recorded cases, meanwhile, were tagged as critical or severe, with active critical or severe COVID-19 admissions currently at 382.

On the other hand, no deaths were recorded by the DOH since June 26.

The utilization of ICU beds decreased from 13.7 to 12.3 percent, as well as non-ICU bed utilization rate from 17.7 to 17.4 percent.

Based on the DOH’s online COVID-19 tracker as of July 10, the country’s total COVID-19 caseload is currently at 4,168,267, with 4,095,346 recoveries and 66,484 deaths.

Active cases are currently at 6,437.
