LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two suspected illegal drug traders Sunday (July 9) in Cavite province and seized over P185,000 worth of shabu and illegal firearms in two buy-bust operations.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives in Bacoor City collared Dennis Togonon, 28, at 1:20 a.m. after he sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Zapote 1, Colonel Christopher Olazo, Cavite police chief, said in a report.
Seized from the suspect were three plastic sachets of meth weighing 15 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P103,000.
In Tanza town, local drug enforcers nabbed Manuel Tanoy, 28, in a sting operation in Barangay Bagtas on Sunday morning.
The suspect was found in possession of 12.14 grams of shabu worth P82,552 and a mobile phone containing records of his supposed drug transactions.
The police also recovered from the suspect two undocumented caliber .38 revolvers and five bullets.
Both suspects were placed in police custody and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Tanoy will also be slapped with another case for illegal possession of firearms.
