Ruel Rivera appointed as BJMP chief — Palace
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Monday announced the appointment of Ruel Rivera as Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) chief.
Rivera previously served as BJMP chief in an acting capacity.

“Mr. Ruel S. Rivera has been appointed as Chief of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology under the Department of the Interior and Local Government,” said the Presidential Communications Office in a Facebook post.
Rivera previously served as a warden for municipal, city, and district jails and eventually became the steward of Manila City Jail in 2011.
