DAVAO CITY – The search for the six missing fishermen / crew members of a fishing vessel that sank off Davao Oriental is still on, while the remains of three others have been brought home to General Santos City.
Commodore Agapito Bibat, commander of the Philippine Coast Guard Southeastern Mindanao district, said search and rescue operations are still ongoing with hopes of finding the six missing crew members three days after FB Genesis 2 capsized some 182 nautical miles (337 kilometers) east of Baganga town.
The search operation is centered within a five-nautical mile (9 km.) radius from the last known position of the sunken vessel, a 138-ton trawler owned by OGDIN Fishing Company based in General Santos City.
