MANILA, Philippines — Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa wants to publish vacant plantilla items on a website or an app to streamline the hiring process for licensed nurses.

Registered nurses interested in any vacant post may upload their applications on the proposed web page or app.

Nurses will just have to click on the vacant item and upload their resumes and eventually schedule an interview, he said.

Herbosa said he had already directed the information technology unit of the Department of Health to do the program to help people find nurse vacancies faster.

“I wanted these items on public record that we have vacancies,” Herbosa told reporters on Friday. He said there were more than 4,500 plantilla, or budget-approved positions, available for nurses nationwide.
