FILIPINA-AMERICAN and WBO female super bantamweight champion Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton will face Angel “Non-Stop” Gladney in a non-title bout today at the Dade County Auditorium in Miami, Florida.
Both Gladney (6W-3L-1D, 5 KOs) and Julaton (8W-2L-1D, 1 KO) weighed in at 127.5 lb during the official weigh-in. Julaton usually competes in the 122-lb weight category but opted to compete in the higher division this time.
The fight is scheduled for eight rounds.
Julaton’s last fight was in February where she scored a lop-sided 10-round unanimous decision victory over Franchesca Alcanter in California.
Gladney for her part, lost by seventh-round knockout to Kaliesha West last year in her attempt to wrest the WBO female bantamweight title. Correspondent Rene Bonsubre Jr.
