Mall to mark Earth Day celebration with exhibit
ON April 22, more than one billion people around the world are expected to participate in the Earth Day celebration and help mobilize the Earth.
Earth Day 2012 will act as a launch pad for growing the environmental movement and will put forth a bold declaration demanding immediate action to secure renewable energy for all and a sustainable future for the planet.
In SM City Cebu, fashion design students from the University of San Carlos will hold an “E-Couture” exhibit that will feature fashion dresses made of recycled materials from the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exhibit will run from April 20 to April 27 at the third level fronting Max’s Restaurant.
SM’s corporate social responsibility projects such as the Trash to Cash will also be held tomorrow, April 20 at the North Covered Parking. This project promotes the disposal of unused materials/waste in an environment-friendly way.
Paglaum Basureros will also sell crafts, house accessories and fashion accessories made of recyclable materials from April 20 to 27 at the lower ground floor fronting Mang Inasal.
