The Southern Police District (SPD) on Friday said that Kuecuekboga Sueleyman, 37, was apprehended by enforcers Makati’s Public Safety Department (PSD) along the intersection of Arnaiz Avenue and Pasong Tamo in Barangay Pio del Pilar before Thursday noon for violating the number coding regulation.

But instead of cooperating with authorities, SPD said that Sueleyman became unruly when enforcers asked for his driver’s license and vehicle registration.

“PSD personnel immediately sought help from San Isidro Police Sub-Station to pacify the suspect but he continued to resist and declined to show his driver’s license, hence his arrest,” SPD said in a statement.

The illegal substance were then discovered during a body search done at the San Isidro Substation.

“During procedural body search conducted at the San Isidro Sub-Station, 16 sachets containing suspected opium poppy seeds (Papaver somniferum) were discovered from the suspect,” SPD said.

SPD said the suspect is under the custody of the Makati City Custodial Facility.

He will face complaints for violating Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) and Section 11, Article II (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Edgar Alan Okubo said that they would continue to enforce the law regardless of the suspect’s nationality.
