Pecandela, Bhutakalz outlast foes, share lead in IBP hoops
PECANDELA Law Firm nipped Eagles, 61-59, while Bhutakalz pulverized the Dissenters, 103-61 last Saturday to share the lead with identical 6-1 win-loss cards in the IBP-2012 8th Season basketball tournament at the Capitol Paris gym.
Tommy Yu and Francis Pepito led Pecandela with 15 and 14 points, respectively while Ian Santos paced the losing Eagles (4-3) with 13 markers.
Meanwhile, Bhutakalz dominated the game from start to finish for the 42-point victory so far the tournament’s biggest winning margin.
Cris Ang scattered a tournament-high 43 points spiked by five trifectas for Bhutakalz while Marchel Sarno paced Dissenters (1-5) with 16 points.
In the other games, Super Idolz crushed Primos, 87-77, for its 4th win in six games while the latter fell to 1-5 while Pañeros routed Jodin, 83-61 with Ruel Juban and Ting Ordeniza scoring 20 and 14 points, respectively.
