Chinese woman rescued from kidnappers in Laguna

3 suspects yield P3.4M meth in Laguna

LUCENA CITY — Police rescued on Monday a female Chinese national in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province after she was allegedly kidnapped by her compatriots in Parañaque City.

In a report on Thursday, June 1, the Police Region 4A said one Carlos Delaro found at 10 a.m. the handcuffed victim, Zhong Jin Ming, crawling and asking for help, in front of his house inside a subdivision in Barangay Malitlit.

Delaro also noticed the presence of a Chinese man.

He immediately called the attention of his neighbors, who reported the incident to the local police.

Responding police officers arrested the Chinese man, identified as Xie Jing Long, and his companion, Sheng Likun.

The initial investigation disclosed that the victim was kidnapped by the two suspects in the parking lot of Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange in Parañaque City. She was later brought to Sta Rosa City.

The report did not give details of the supposed kidnapping or other data about the victim.

The report said the police recovered from the suspects a .45 pistol loaded with 12 bullets, P137,555 cash, three mobile phones, and personal belongings.

The suspects were placed in police custody.

The police are conducting further investigation.
