2 shabu traffickers held in Cavite

Police arrest two alleged members of a drug group and seize more than P172,000 worth of "shabu" (crystal meth) in Dasmariñas City in Cavite province

LUCENA CITY — Anti-narcotics agents arrested two shabu (crystal meth) traffickers in a drug buy-bust operation on Tuesday, May 30,  in Dasmariñas City in Cavite province.

The Police Region 4A identified the suspects in a report on Wednesday as Leonora Gantang and Jerique Nocum, both on the police watchlist as drug pushers in the locality.

The two were collared at 8 p.m. after they sold P500 worth of meth to an undercover cop in Barangay San Esteban.

Seized from the suspects were four sachets of shabu weighing 11.43 grams worth about P78,867.

The suspects were detained and charged of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
