MRT-3 glitch briefly inconveniences passengers
MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Wednesday morning underwent a brief service pause due to a signaling malfunction.
In an advisory, the MRT-3 management said its control center reported an “abnormal status” in its signaling system at around 5:16 a.m.
The fault was fixed around 5:40 a.m., restoring operations by 5:42.
“As of 5:42 a.m., the MRT-3 has resumed full operations following a brief service interruption due to a signaling problem encountered at around 5:16 a.m,” the management said.
