Palace suspends works in gov’t offices in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines—Malacanang has suspended work in all government agencies in Metro Manila beginning 1 p.m. Friday in light of the heavy rains and flooding brought by Tropical Storm Falcon.

But the order did not cover government offices involved in the delivery of emergency and basic services, according to Memorandum Circular No. 14, which was issued by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr.
