LUCENA CITY — Two male teenagers were wounded in a stabbing incident that started with an altercation in Laurel town in Batangas province on Friday, May 19.

Batangas police said in a report that the victims, aged 17 and 14 and both still in high school, were sitting together with their friends in front of their school in Barangay (village) Poblacion 1 at around 5:25 p.m. when suspect Ronel De Millo, 30, suddenly appeared and engaged the victims in a heated argument.

This ended with Millo stabbing the two. Millo fled after the incident.

One of the victims sustained a stab wound on his chest while the other one was hit in the head. They were taken to separate hospitals in neighboring Talisay town and Batangas City for treatment.

The police are conducting further investigation. The report did not specify the cause of the argument and the type of weapon Millo used.

Police also launched a hunt for Millo.
