1 new COVID-19 death, 26 active cases logged in Zambales
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The province has again logged another COVID-19-related death amid the rising number of new infections, local data showed on Thursday, May 18.
The provincial health office said the latest COVID-19 fatality was registered on Wednesday, raising to 742 the province’s death toll.
Data also showed that active COVID-19 cases rose to 26, with eight new ones and only one recovery reported on Wednesday.
The number of active cases in the province was on an upward trend after recording zero cases on April 15.
Since 2020, the province has recorded 12,752 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 11,989 of which recovered from the disease. INQ
