MANILA, Philippines – Classes at all levels in both public and private schools in Malabon City were suspended on Tuesday, May 16, due to rains and flooding.

“Suspendido na ang pasok sa lahat ng antas ng klase sa mga pampubliko at pampribadong paaralan sa lungsod ngayong Martes, May 16, 2023 dahil sa patuloy na pag-ulan at pagbaha dulot ng Thunderstorm,” wrote the Malabon City government in a Facebook announcement.

In the far northern Luzon region, a frontal system coupled with a southwesterly surface wind flow west of northern and central Luzon is expected to cause rainfall on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
