P420,000 meth seized from 4 suspects in Cavite, Laguna busts
LUCENA CITY — Police seized more than P420,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and two cars from four alleged drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations Thursday in Cavite and Laguna provinces.
The Police Region 4A reported that members of the anti-narcotics unit in Dasmariñas City, Cavite nabbed Olimpia Benito at 4:50 p.m. after she sold shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Datu Esmael.
Benito, who was tagged as a “high-value” target in the government drug war, yielded five sachets of meth weighing 25 grams.
The confiscated illegal substance is worth about P172,500.
Earlier, local drug enforcers also collared Ryan Torres in another drug sting around 1 p.m. in Barangay Burol 1.
Article continues after this advertisementAuthorities seized two sachets of shabu with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P34,400 and a mobile phone containing a list of his supposed drug transactions.

In Laguna, anti-narcotics operatives in San Pedro City busted at 7:06 p.m. Marylin De Los Reyes in Barangay San Antonio.
De Los Reyes yielded six sachets of shabu with an estimated DDB value of P171,850.
Policemen in Calauan town arrested on Thursday morning Gino Biscocho in Barangay Silangan.
The suspect was caught in possession of four sachets of shabu worth P41,607 and a mobile phone.
Police also confiscated the suspect’s car that was believed to have been used in his shabu distributions.
Authorities in Cavite and Laguna were tracking the source of the illegal drugs. All arrested suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
