FORT DEL PILAR, Baguio City — This year’s top graduating cadet is a Lipa City native and the 21-year-old son of a retired Air Force soldier.
Cadet First Class Warren Leonor is following his father’s lead and will join the Air Force after he receives his commission as an Armed Forces junior officer. Leonor is a member of the graduating Madasigon Class of 2023 on May 21.
Madasigon is composed of 311 senior cadets, who were classmates of the late Darwin Dormitorio, the plebe who died from a series of maltreatments in 2019.
Five of the top 10 graduating cadets are women: Cadets First Class Nicole Sarmiento, 22, of Butuan City, who ranks 3rd; 23-year-old Zhen Zhen Cayton of Dupax Del Norte in Nueva Vizcaya (4th), Rohan Macario, 21, of Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City (6th); Kimberly Kate Lawingan, 22, of Sadanga in Mountain Province (8th); and Arla Krish Bahingawan, 23, of Kiangan, Ifugao (10th).
The second-ranking cadet is Cadet First Class Edmundo Logronio, 23, of Manito, Albay; followed by Cadet First Class Rez Mark Cantor, 22, of Binalonan, Pangasinan (5th); Cadet First Class Samuel Banac, 22, of West Fairview, Quezon City (7th); and Cadet First Class Rico Jay Fernandez, 21, of Mojave, Zamboanga Del Sur (9th).
