LUCENA CITY — Two alleged notorious drug traders on the police watchlist in Infanta town in Quezon province were busted on Thursday, May 4, after they yielded P170,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth).

In a report Friday, Quezon police chief Colonel Ledon Monte said a team of anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Reynaldo Saginsin, 29, and Jhomar Avellaneda, 35, during a buy-bust operation around 11:30 p.m. in Barangay Abiawin.

Authorities seized eight sachets of meth weighing 25 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P170,000.

Police said the drug haul was worth P510,000 on the street market at P20,400 per gram.

The arrested suspects were tagged street-level individuals on the drug watch list in the locality.

They were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
