Over P2 million worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Quezon Province
MANILA, Philippines — Over P2 million worth of crystal meth or “shabu” were seized from two female suspects in Quezon Province over the weekend, the local police said on Monday.
The Police Regional Office Calabarzon identified the suspects as Melody Palatino Revilloza, 41, listed as a high-value individual on the provincial drugs watchlist, along with Marie Maaño Baldoviso, 45.
Revilloza and Baldoviso were nabbed in a joint buy-bust operation conducted on Sunday at Sitio Malalim, Barangay San Jose, in Gen Luna town.
Seized from the suspects were 20 sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 100 grams with a street value of P2,040,000 and monetary bills as boodle money.
Both women are under police custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
