Parañaque City cops nab man, seize over P2.2 million ‘shabu’
MANILA, Philippines — Authorities have arrested a 64-year-old man and confiscated more than P2.2 million worth of suspected crystal meth or “shabu” during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said in a report that Parañaque City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit operatives nabbed suspect Mohn Chandumal Jiwatramani along Gadiola St. Tramo Uno Barangay San Dionisio on Tuesday, May 2.
But Jiwatramani’s alleged cohort, identified by the police as Efren John Frac, also known as Alyas Zeth, eluded arrest.

The SPD said illegal drugs with an estimated weight of more than 325 grams amounting to P2,210,000 were confiscated following the drug sting.

Article continues after this advertisementJiwatramani will face a complaint for violating Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and will undergo inquest proceedings before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office, the SPD noted.
