Man lands in jail after allegedly molesting 10-year-old girl in QC

Authorities arrested a 24-year-old man in Quezon City after being accused of molesting a 10-year-old girl, the police said on Sunday. 

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested a 24-year-old man in Quezon City after being accused of molesting a 10-year-old girl, the police said on Sunday.

In a report, the Quezon Police District (QCPD) said that operatives of Novaliches Police Station apprehended and identified suspect Alyn Chris Pineda in Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, on April 22.

Based on the report, the suspect had dinner with the victim’s family in his residence along Magno St. on April 21. When the victim went to use the comfort room, Pineda followed and molested her.

The victim’s mother observed malicious acts of the suspect toward her daughter, which was later confirmed after the victim revealed that she had been molested by the suspect multiple times since October last year.

Following the victim’s confession, her mother sought the assistance of Novaliches Police Station personnel, resulting in the arrest of Pineda.

According to QCPD, the suspect will be charged with lascivious behavior under the Republic Act 7610 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
