LUCENA CITY – Police arrested six drug suspects and seized more than P830,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) on Saturday and Sunday in separate buy-bust operations in Cavite and Laguna.
The Region 4A police reported that anti-illegal drugs operatives in Dasmariñas City, Cavite nabbed Leonardo Francisco at around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday after he allegedly sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Victoria Reyes.
Authorities confiscated from the suspect, tagged in the report as a “high value” target in the government’s drug war, three plastic sachets and one knot-tied plastic containing 100 grams of shabu worth an estimated P690,000.
In Imus City, Cavite, local drug enforcers also nabbed Richard Sayas and Mary Ann Bautista in an operation in Barangay Alapan 1B around 9 p.m. on Saturday. They yielded two sachets of shabu worth an estimated P37,950.
Anti-narcotics agents in Bacoor City, Cavite collared Renlyn Pamanano at around 1:40 a.m. Sunday in Barangay Panapaan 3. The suspect yielded three sachets of shabu worth around P17,000.
In Laguna, members of Calamba City police drug enforcement unit arrested Charlene Desierto after she allegedly sold shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Turbina at around 6:05 p.m.
Desierto yielded two sachets of shabu worth some P42,500.
Joey Laroya meantime was busted in Barangay Real at around 7:55 p.m. and yielded two sachets of shabu worth around P47,000.
All suspects were detained and will face a formal complaint for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
