NAIA operations resume after red lightning alert

MANILA, Philippines— Flight and ground operations at the  Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) resumed Saturday morning after the red lightning alert was lifted.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said the red lightning alert was lowered to yellow alert at 9:50 a.m.

The MIAA Airport Ground Operations and Safety Division issued the red lightning alert at 8:53 a.m. on Saturday.
