UPDATED MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Monday announced the latest appointees in the Marcos administration, particularly under the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
In a Facebook post, the PCO said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had appointed Milet G. Batac as the new BJMP chief superintendent.
Meanwhile, Erwin A. Alea and Eugene M. Mata in the AFP have been promoted to Brigadier General.
The PCO said their appointments and promotions were made on April 13.
Meanwhile, Karen C. Alvarez was appointed as a new Assistant Secretary in the PCO, while Jonathan Ian S. Gonzales and Jonathan S. Jalbuna were appointed as Director II.
The PCO said the appointments were made last Feb. 20.
In a separate Facebook post, the PCO said Marcos had appointed new board members under the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).
The appointments, which the PCO said were made on Monday, are the following:
Hilario Bringas Paredes – Acting Member, Board of Directors of the BCDA
Dale Brian Tee Go – Acting Member, Board of Trustees of MWSS
The PCO said Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin led the oath-taking of the new appointees.
