MANILA, Philippines — A total of 3,992 out of 9,183 or 43.47 % of examinees passed the 2022 Bar examination, Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa said.
At a press conference, Caguioa announced the top 30 examinees, with the top five coming from the University of the Philippines.
Out of the top 30, eleven are from the University of the Philippines, eight from Ateneo De Manila University, three from the University of San Carlos, and one from San Beda College Alabang, Mariano Marcos State University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Saint Louis University, University of Santo Tomas, Arellano University, Manuel L. Quezon University, Angeles University, and Ateneo de Davao University.
“The court commends the Bar candidates who successfully scaled what time and again has proven to be a Herculean battery of exams. Congratulations to the families and supportive communities of the bar candidates for through your love, this victory is certainly shared with you,” Caguioa said.
Sending comfort to those who did not make the list, Caguioa said, “For those who may not find their names on the awaited list for now, I call on each of you to recall how the Bar examinations can never approximate what you are worth.”
“Allow this setback to be only temporary, but your will to overcome the Bar examinations unchanged. The Bar examinations cannot begin to nor will it ever measure the weight of your conviction, the strength of your courage, the depths of your compassion, and the height of your dream,” Caguioa said.
This year’s chairman, Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa said oath taking and roll signing of successful examinees would be on May 2, 2023.
