LEGAZPI CITY — Two persons were arrested for illegal drugs and a firearm in separate operations on Tuesday in Naga City in Camarines provinces, police reported Wednesday, April 12.
Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Russel Racadag, 50, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. for selling a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) worth P3,000 in Barangay Abella.
Bongon said during the body search, authorities also recovered four sachets or 2.4 grams of shabu worth P16,320.
In Paracale town in Camarines Norte, Arnel Murillo, 68, was collared around 2:30 p.m. in Barangay Bagumbayan.
Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaqub, Bicol police spokesperson, said in a report that Murillo sold a .38 revolver loaded with two live ammunition to an undercover agent in the area.
Upon body search, police recovered two sachets of shabu, P500 buy-bust money and the boodle money.
Calubaquib said Murillo was a newly identified member of the Rey Gutierrez Criminal Gang, operating in the province.
The suspects were in police custody and will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
