ORMOC CITY — A man drowned at sea in Barangay 97-Cabalawan, Tacloban City on Easter Sunday, April 9.
The police identified the victim as Alexander Valle, 21.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was swimming with two other people when they were suddenly swept away by the water’s current.

Rescue operations were immediately conducted by responding personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard and other authorities which resulted in the recovery of Valle’s body at about 3 p.m. of the same day.
The victim’s cadaver was brought to a local funeral parlor for post-mortem examination.
