E. Visayas, Caraga rainy due to LPA

A low-pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is expected to develop into a tropical depression, the state weather bureau said on Monday.

In its latest weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was last recorded at 890 kilometers east of the Visayas.

The LPA is likely to bring heavy rains as it moves westward toward southern Luzon and the Visayas, the Pagasa said.

Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will prevail on Tuesday in Eastern Visayas and Caraga due to the weather disturbance. INQ
