The Quezon City Police District arrested on Friday a 33-year-old man in Barangay Batasan Hills for sexually harassing and assaulting his 10-year-old sister. The suspect was charged with violation of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. The report said the victim was sleeping inside their house when the suspect touched her private parts on April 5. The victim later told their mother who then confronted the suspect, which resulted in a heated argument. The victim and her mother sought the assistance of Batasan operatives who arrested the suspect.
