No scheduled trips on Good Friday in most Bicol ports

Travelers flocked to seaports across Bicol Region on Thursday before operations are temporarily halted in observance of Good Friday.

MANILA, Philippines — Travelers flocked to seaports across Bicol Region on Thursday before operations are temporarily halted in observance of Good Friday.

The Coast Guard in Bicol said this as its commander Genito Basilio inspected some of the most crowded seaports in the region.

“Influx of passengers [is] noticeable since this morning as a result of people catching up [on] today’s final trips as there will be no schedule of trips tomorrow in most ports. The schedules will resume on Saturday and Sunday,” it said in a statement.

The Philippine Ports Authority had earlier announced the cancellation of trips in the following seaports under the Port Management Office in Bicol:
