Drug suspect with P102,000 worth of ‘shabu’ arrested in QC

MANILA, Philippines — Around P102,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) was seized from a suspect in a drug sting in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City (QC), police said Thursday.

In a report, the QC Police District (QCPD) identified the suspect as Allan Valiente, 29, who was arrested on Wednesday night.

Police said it conducted the buy-busy operation at 11:10 p.m. on April 5, after receiving a report from a concerned citizen regarding the drug-selling activity of the suspect.

Seized from the suspect are 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000.00, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

The QCPD said Valiente will be charged for violating R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
