Over P10,000 ‘shabu’ seized from arrested drug suspect in Naga City
LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested a 24-year-old man and recovered P10,200 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Wednesday in Naga City in Camarines Sur province.
Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said John George Portuguez, 24, sold a sachet of shabu worth P2,500 to an undercover agent in Barangay Triangulo at around 1:30 a.m.
Bongon said authorities recovered during the body search four more sachets of shabu from Portuguez, who was on the illegal drugs watch list of the police.
A total of 1.5 grams of shabu was confiscated from the suspect, who is now facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
