LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives seized P374,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from two suspected big-time drug traffickers in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, April 4, in Calamba City, Laguna.
A report Wednesday, April 5, from the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A) said members of the city drug enforcement unit collared Pamela Nieras Datuimam and Mohammad Esmael Diacat in a sting operation at 1:40 p.m. in Barangay (village) Looc.
Authorities confiscated from the suspects two plastic sachets of meth weighing 55 grams. The office said the seized shabu has an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P374,000.
Police were tracking down the source of shabu peddled by the suspects, who were both classified as “high-value” targets in the illegal drug war.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug business.
The suspects were placed in police custody and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
