Man arrested for molesting a minor in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — A 35-year-old man was arrested in Quezon City for molesting a minor, the police said on Tuesday.
In a report, the Quezon Police District (QCPD) said that operatives of Novaliches Police Station apprehended and identified suspect Edmar Petalio, a resident of Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches.
According to the QCPD, authorities arrested the suspect on April 3 during a follow-up operation after the victim and her friend sought police assistance at the Novaliches Police Station.
Based on the report, the victim was waiting for a passenger jeepney along San Antonio Subdivision, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon on Monday morning, when Petalio offered the victim a ride home on his motorcycle.
When she agreed, the suspect brought the victim to an apartelle along Susano Road, Barangay San Agustin, where the alleged assault was committed, the police said.
