2 dead in separate road mishaps in Camarines Sur
LEGAZPI CITY — Two riders died Monday in separate road mishaps in Camarines Sur, reports said on Tuesday, April 4.
Colonel Julius Caesar Domingo, Camarines Sur police chief, said Edward Pagador, 34, farmer, was driving his motorcycle when he encroached upon the opposite lane on the Rolando Andaya Highway and bumped at 11:50 p.m. into a northbound Wing Van Truck driven by Gilbert Ramirez, 52, in Barangay Manangle in Sipocot town.
Domingo said Pagador died while being taken to Sipocot District Hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
In Naga City, while riding his bicycle, Vicente Saavedra, 68, tried to avoid a parked passenger jeepney on the shoulder of the road in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña around 12:15 p.m. when he hit a Ford Ranger Pick-up driven by Manuel Collao, 58, Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, spokesperson of Naga City police, said.
Saavedra suffered injuries on his body and died hours later while being treated at a hospital.
