Armed robbers take P200,000 from Laguna minimart

LUCENA CITY — Armed men on Monday held up and robbed a minimart in Alaminos town in Laguna province, taking more than P200,000 cash.

The Police Regional Office 4-A reported on Tuesday, April 4, that at 7:20 p.m., two unidentified male robbers armed with handguns attacked a minimart in Barangay 3.

The robbers took P200,000 from the store’s cash register and cellular phone, then escaped aboard a motorcycle toward the neighboring Sto. Tomas City in Batangas province.

Investigators found out that the motorcycle was stolen earlier in another part of the locality.

The police are conducting follow-up operations to identify and arrest the robbers.
