19-year-old suspect yields marijuana in Sorsogon town

Shabu worth P3.4M seized from new personalities in Sorsogon buy-bust

SORSOGON CITY — Authorities arrested a 19-year-old alleged member of a notorious drug group in Gubat town, Sorsogon province, police said Monday, April 3.

Investigators identified the suspect as Frensil Vancarl Astrologo Lastrilla, who reportedly belongs to the Castillo drug group.

Lastrilla yielded about eight grams of dried leaves and fruiting tops of marijuana during a buy-bust operation at 2:28 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay Buenavista.

Police said Lastrilla and the confiscated evidence were placed in the custody of the Gubat Municipal Police Station while awaiting charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
