P32-M illegal drugs seized from Syrian national

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confiscated on Thursday an estimated P32 million worth of illegal drugs from a Syrian national who owns a bar in Makati City. The suspect, Mhd Alaadin Qwiader, was arrested by virtue of a search warrant following a tipoff that the suspect has been peddling dangerous drugs such as cocaine, high-grade marijuana or “kush” and ecstasy around Makati City. Qwiader allegedly supplied illegal drugs to owners of several high-end bars who, in turn, sell them to their bar clientele. NBI agents seized from the suspect 8,681 grams of high-grade marijuana, 511.5339 grams of cocaine, 4,512 tablets of different shapes and colors of suspected ecstasy, one 9mm pistol, one magazine pistol for 9mm ammunition and 50 pieces 9mm ammunitions.
