OLONGAPO CITY — At least 20 persons were taken to a local hospital on Friday after a collision of multiple vehicles along the national road in this city, authorities said.

Mayor Rolen Paulino said in a radio interview that the victims, whose injuries were not immediately known, were on board a passenger jeepney that was heading north.

The jeepney collided around noon with an oncoming passenger Victory Liner bus, which crossed the opposite lane after bumping a car in front of it along the National Highway in Barangay Barretto.

Paulino said most of the injured victims were on their way to an
outing.

The mayor said the victims were being treated at the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital while an investigation was under way. INQ
