Pagasa: Fair, warm weekend weather nationwide
MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather and a tropical cyclone – free weekend are expected nationwide, the state weather bureau reported on Friday.
“Sa ngayon nananatiling mababa ang tiyansa na magkaroon tayo ng bagyo sa loob ng ating Philippine area of responsibility sa susunod na tatlong araw dahil sa ngayon wala naman taong namamataang low pressure area sa loob at labas ng PAR,” Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo said.
(There is a very slim chance of a tropical cyclone developing since there are no low-pressure areas in and around the Philippine area of responsibility.)
Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, however, are still expected on Friday despite the generally hot and humid weather conditions.
“Sa buong kapuluan ay magiging maaliwalas pa din ang panahon at may mga tiyansa lamang ng mga pulo-pulong pag-ulan pagkidlat pagkulog especially sa hapon o gabi,” Del Mundo added.

(It will be hot and humid by noontime and in the afternoon.)
Isolated thunderstorms are particularly likely in the Visayas and Mindanao due to the easterlies, the warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean.
“This morning, we have already spotted thunderstorm clouds over the Caraga region, Southern Leyte, Northern Mindanao Zamboanga Peninsula, and parts of Palawan,” Del Mundo said in Filipino.
Pagasa did not raise a gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards.
