BAGUIO CITY — Police in this city arrested a Chinese national who allegedly yielded 500 teabags containing “shabu” (crystal meth) after a raid early Tuesday, March 28, in his house in Barangay Irisan.
Investigators identified the suspect as Hui Ming, alias “Tan,” who was caught during the anti-narcotics operation led by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit of the Cordillera police with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The operation was carried out on the strength of a search warrant issued by a local court, according to Cordillera police director Brigadier General David Peredo.
He said the drug haul was about P2 billion.
The suspect was detained and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
